        • Mental health campaigner and ex All-Black Sir John Kirwan paid a visit to Year 6 and 10 Scots College students last week to share his experiences with depression.  He quickly captured the attention of students, not with rugby memories but by asking them questions about what made them tick.  It was encouraging to see 10 and 14 year olds easily articulate what they would do if they were feeling down or isolated.  And as Sir John explained, communicating how you feel with loved ones is the first step in seeking help. read more

        • In one of the best secondary school first XV rugby matches seen in New Zealand, Scots College made Wellington rugby history by becoming the first Wellington school to take the national 1st XV Secondary Schools title in Rotorua last Sunday, 7th September 2014.  Definitely the underdogs of the tournament, Scots displayed consistent flair, skill and surprise resulting in a 26 all draw with veterans Hamilton Boys' High. read more

        • On Wednesday 24 September, Years 1-6 boys will be participating in a Jump Rope for Heart ‘Jump Off’ at school. During Term 3 Fitness lessons, boys have been practising their skipping skills in readiness for the ‘Jump Off’ where they will display the many different skills (individual and group), that they have learnt in a fun and enjoyable way. As well as getting fit, all boys are required to be sponsored by family and friends to raise money for the wonderful work that the Heart Foundation does. read more

        • The Badminton Championships was played over two days: Thursday 21 August and Monday 25 August 2014. In the Final, Jericho Borja made a great comeback from 10-17 down to take the Final down to the wire. Tom Yan eventually won 24-22 with some excellent rallies.
