        • The Scots College 1st XI Hockey team left for Hong Kong and China on Sunday, the 20th of April 2014. A blog has been created which will be used to keep everyone back home in New Zealand, or anywhere else where people want to see the team's activities and progress. This will include match reports, day previews and summaries, and hopefully photos as well from our day past. read more

      • Fantastic results for Water Polo

        • Fantastic results in the Intermediate Water Polo finals last Monday (14 April 2014). Scots 2 won the B grade 6-4 and Scots 1 narrowly missed out in the A grade final 2-4.  A big thanks to Sam & Zephyr for the time they gave up this term; and also to Mrs Travers & Mrs Prestwich for managing the teams. My final thanks goes to the families who have supported the boys all season.  read more

        • This month's Middle and Senior School EOTC week demonstrated the benefits of taking our students outside of the classroom.  In particular it gave our older students wonderful opportunities to demonstrate and learn about leadership. read more

      • Microsoft Office Pro Plus free for Scots students

        • Scots College students are now able to download Microsoft Office 2013 Pro Plus as part of the Microsoft Student Advantage programme. This provides students the full Microsoft Office Suite, which can be downloaded from the College’s Office 365 Intranet ‘Scot-E’ and can installed on up to 5 devices, Windows and Apple.  read more

        • In Term One, there was increased demand for the shuttle service requirements for Island Bay, Seatoun and Lower Hutt and, as a result, two shuttle vans serviced each route most days. The routes remained the same as last year as per below: Seatoun Wharf – Morning only Pick up at the wharf, departure time determined by arrival time of ferry. read more

        • Rugby Trials The Years 7 & 8 Rugby trials scheduled for tomorrow (15th April) lunch time have been postponed. The trial will now be held in Term 2 on Monday, May 5th at lunchtime. We apologise for any inconvenience.         • Dear Parents and Caregivers of Years 5-12 students We understand some parents and students are looking to purchase a laptop or tablet for their son(s) soon and would like information about what is best suited to meet the College's 1:1 Device Plan being introduced in 2015. We are still confirming details with a preferred supplier and trying to confirm an attractive pricing/servicing and insurance package for the College. We hope to have this confirmed early in Term 2. read more

      • Hans-Peder Oliff - a bright future in music

        • TV One and Maori Television have profiled Year 13 student Hans-Peder Oliff in Tagata Pasifika this week with the title ‘Samoan Boy Genius’.  Hans-Peder is in his final year studying the IB Diploma, is Pipe Band Sergeant and is at Level 7 in piano. An extremely talented singer/song writer, Hans-Peder won Scots Got Talent best soloist category.  He plans to study medicine next year at Otago.   Watch the clip below.

      • Middle School ICAS Competition 2014

        • Dear Parents/Carers I am writing to invite you to enter your son(s) in all or any of the ICAS examinations run by Educational Assessment Australia in conjunction with The University of New South Wales (UNSW). ICAS provides an opportunity for all students in Years 7 to 10 to gain a measure of their own achievement in an external testing situation. read more

        • The Year 12 OPC from Tongariro will be an hour and a half to 2 hours late. This is due to the Tranzit bus problem. We will send out a more accurate ETA as it comes to hand.

      • No Tranzit Buses this morning due to fire

        • Substantial fire in building next to Tranzit's bus lot and no buses can be accessed. No Tranzit buses are available. Go Wellington still operating. Please make alternate arrangements to get your son to College this morning. Apologies for this.
