      • Tuesday 2 March 2010: It was a hard day for Stream at the McEvedy Shield today. With strong teams from all four schools it was always going to be tough. A few early highlights were: Fletcher Greaves winning the Under-14 100m and Aviata Silago throwing 44 metres to win the Open Discus.

      • Wednesday 17 February 2010: To mark the start of the Lentern season, Ash Wednesday services were held separately for junior and senior students. Led by senior students, the services included reflections and readings around the meaning of Lent. Each student came forward to receive an ash cross on their forehead as a reminder of this time in Christ's life.

      • Wednesday 2 December 2009: "Belonging" was the theme for the 2009 Year 9 Retreat. Through a range of activities, students reflected on the history of the college and what it really means to "belong". Unfortunately, the much-anticipated swim in the College pool was abandoned due to inclement weather. The day finished with a Mass led by Father John Greally.

      • Friday 27 November 2009: Competitive fun was the order of the day as Year 9 and 10 students competed in their Houses in a variety of activities. After athletics finals in the morning, Benediction was held in the chapel, with teams then competing for titles in Touch Rugby and 10/10 Cricket. Meanwhile, the competition for Stream's Strongest Man was taking place. A fantastic day.

      • Wednesday 11 November 2009: Stream's Junior Touch Rugby team had an excellent day at the Hutt Valley Tournament. The team lost only one game all day, to the eventual winners, Taita College. During round-robin, they scored 32 points with only 10 against. Playing off for third-fourth, Stream won 4-3 in a nail-biting final against Aotea College.

      • Wednesday 11 November 2009: On a night to remember, Year 13 students attended their last Mass as part of their Graduation night.  Citations were presented to all students in the school Chapel with parents and family looking on. A delightful dinner in the auditorium with parents and staff followed, before academic awards were presented. True to tradition, the night finished with the school haka.

The mass was officiated by Patele Maleko T. Api and included readings by Elekana and Aniseko, two students on scholarships from St Joseph's College in Samoa.

      • 23-26 October 2009: Stream was over-run during Labour Weekend as two hundred motor homes from the lower North Island attended a rally. Organised by the local branch of the New Zealand Motor Caravan Association (www.nzmca.org.nz) the campers spread out across the Number 2 Rugby field, enjoying the facilties that Stream, and the local community, has to offer.

      • 20 October 2009: At Tuesday's assembly, Ope Peleseuma presented his NZ School Boys' Rugby Team jersey to the school. After playing for the team this season in Australia against various sides, including a very tough game against the Australian School Boys' side, Ope presented the jersey to be framed and hung in the Sports Pavilion.

      • Friday 18 September 2009: Facilitated by Fr Mark Walls SM, Year 12 students looked to develop the means whereby they could stand up for what is right. As a result of this the students are able to distinguish what is acceptable, and what is unacceptable behaviour, in the Marist Tradition. We look forward to this cohort making a significant contribution to the college as Year 13 Leaders.

      • Saturday 12 September 2009: Stream's annual performance festival was again a great success. A sell-out crowd enjoyed fine music while nibbles and drinks were provided. Styles ranged across funk, jazz, grunge and barber shop, ably compered by Year 10 students, Josh Blaikie and Aaron Conlon. Outside the auditorium, student art work was on display, shone against the school's buildings.

      • Monday 14 September 2009: The Senior House Rugby Competition kicked offtoday with matches between Marist and Chanel, and Patrick and Trinity. Open running games produced entertaining rugby with Chanel and Patrick winners in the first round. The competition continues all week. A sausage sizzle was held by Young Vinnies as a fundraiser for their 2010 Mission to Samoa.

    • Under 65B Team win Grade Final

      • Saturday 29 August 2009: The true Stream spirit and pride were on show as the Under-65B Rugby team won 8-7 against the HIBS Under-65A Team in the Under-65 Grade Final. That special Stream character was needed as the team held out HIBs for 15 minutes while down to 12 players and then held a 1-point lead for the last 30 minutes of the game.

    • First XI Takes 2009 Title

      • Saturday 22 August 2009: The First XV capped a fine season by taking the Wellington Division 1 title, beating Scots College 3-1 in the Final. Hamish Watson scored all three goals - his second hat-trick of the season. The team also won five of the six Traditionals this year including a first ever win over Palmerston North Boys' High School.

      • Friday 14 August 2009: Seven hundred boys proudly walked behind their House banners over the kilometre from school to our parish church, Our Lady of Grace Heretaunga, for this year's Mass of the Assumption. The Mass was officiated by Father Greally and three Marist priests who had taught at Stream in past years: Fathers Delaney, Quinn and Milne. Members of the Parish also attended.
