        • ‘Varna, that’s an idiotic comment to make when someone has just been murdered. Clearly, for whatever reason, it wasn’t safe for Phillip Cottrell that night, and he was set upon and killed. Fact. Why on earth would you say that media people are talking a load of lies? ’
        • ‘You media people talk a load of lies and you make new zealanders be judgemental. Wellington is a safe place and always will be. ’

        • ‘Just reading this post on tagging. One useful cellphone application I have come across recently is NeatStreets. http://www.neatstreets.com.au/ It is an application available for Android based phones, iPhones and Blackberries. It allows you to take a photo of a problem eg tagging, it then uses GPS to get your location and then after putting in a quick description you can submit it immediately. This works in NZ and Oz. Once submitted it goes to the website where it is then checked that it is a proper submission then is submitted to the relevant Council. ’
        • ‘Thanks Peter. Point taken. ’
        • ‘Down by the Huttriver Good post; I support all your comments. Problem is that taggers do not get a decent sentence, Dress them in pink, humiliate them, and make them paint out tags. Grafitti, tagging, whatever, is wilful damage! Just remember the name of our city is LOWER HUTT not Hutt City! Good luck with your election too. ’

      • wasn’t quite sure what to expect when I arrived at the police station. The others were waiting. I got into the waiting patrol car, and buckled up. I was going out on community patrol in Naenae. Community patrols work alongside police to build safer communities, providing an extra set of eyes and ears. We drove a random route but to some set areas, through schools, up alleyways behind businesses, making sure the streets were safe and providing a visual deterrent for tagging and other crime.

        • ‘Although, I should follow that comment up with a link to this story: http://www.stuff.co.nz/business/world/3624910/Sir-Douglas-richer-than-the-Queen where it notes that: “Sir Douglas Myers …. , who now spends much of his time in London, had his fortune valued at 332 million ($713m) in the latest Sunday Times Rich List, making him the 203rd richest person in Britain, a rise of 12 places over 2009…… Financier David Richwhite was the second-highest-ranked Kiwi, one place behind Sir Douglas, and also ahead of the Queen, with a fortune estimated at 330m ($708.9m)…. Other Kiwis on the list include ….. Hanover Finance co-owner Eric Watson (596th equal).” Arguably, and definitely morally, Fay, Richwhite, and Watson should all be in prison for stealing money from the New Zealand taxpayers. Totally, totally immoral. ’
        • ‘Mechaniker, I can’t let you say that about the drugs – yes, there are rumours, and yes, Terry’s brother has been caught and convicted on drugs charges, but Terry has always denied that. Innocent until proven Guilty and all that. No unsubstantiated slander on this site please… ’
        • ‘I think the added reason many feel no pity for Terry is that he is well known alleged to be involved with drugs and underhanded dealings. Our other local scumbag John McGrath also played the account “in dispute” card on contractors, he owed the firm I worked for $4000, they never received the money. They are all the same these types of guys, into the wrong women, wrong drugs and wrong ways of doing business. Who cares that he has done lofts of “good” things for Wellington, if you don’t pay your bills or your rates you are just a crook. So if it is true that he has not been paying people and “disputing” things, I hope that he gets taken down, hard. ’
