Zephyr Rovers FC / January 2008
Zephyr Rovers FC is a Division 3 indoor football team playing in the Wellington Indoor Sports lunch time competition. In a previous incarnation as Land Rovers we have twice won Division 7 and we aim to be the best indoor football team in Wellington by 30 June 2030.

- Zephyr Rovers Manager Steve Hall said Rovers had a week off before the grading games started for the new season. "It will be a chance for a few players to recover from injury so we won't be doing any hard training this week" said Hall "we're mindful that even superb athletes like those in the Rovers squad need time out for other activities".

- Zephyr Rovers Manager Steve Hall confessed this afternoon the last placing of Wellington Phoenix had taken the heat of him as he was now only the second most unsuccessful manager in town.

Rovers Crash Out

- Zephyr Rovers Chairmen George Nash said it was a sad day for the club after Rovers failed to make the top eight after a 9 - 4 loss to Mercer was followed by a win to Whites. "We looked safe with two weeks to go but we lost three on the trot so we have no excuses". Nash said the club would not be making any rash decisions with regard to the future of Manager Steve Hall. "We don't want to be hasty over our next move" said Nash "so we'll probably sack him tomorrow when we've had a chance to sleep on it".
