The Sisters of Compassion purchased all of the Upper Hutt City Council’s pensioner unit’s way back in June 2000.

- Green Party Fisheries Spokesperson, Gareth Hughes, will join South Wellington residents for a beach cleanup between Owhiro Bay and Island Bay this evening.
"Litter from this beach blows and washes into Taputeranga Marine Reserve which is home to over 180 species of fish. It is my pleasure to be part of the message that it is our responsibility to take care of our environment," Mr Hughes said today.
