    • Runabout broken down on "The Bridge"
      • Operation Details Date/Time:  Sat, 21/04/2012 - 16:00 - 17:30 Operation Type:  SAROP Cat 1 People Assisted:  3 Total Volunteer Hours:  10 A 20ft vessel broke down near the south end of Mana Island after encountering Kelp on the shallow area between Green Point and Mana Island, known as "The Bridge". There were 3 people on board and had been fishing in the area. They were wearing lifejackets and made contact with Police, contact method unknown at time of writing. Coastguard Mana was called out by Police and CRV Trust Porirua Rescue was dispatched to tow them home with 6 crew on board. The vessel was taken under tow and safely returned to Mana Marina.       • Operation Details Date/Time:  Sun, 17/06/2012 - 10:00 - 13:30 Operation Type:  Other People Assisted:  200 Total Volunteer Hours:  28 4WD at Karehana Bay and liased with swim organisers. CRV Pelorus at Karehana Bay. Performed Man Overboard exercises, before the event, and simulated victim recovery along with land based crew. During event Pelorus monitored swimmers while land based crew observed from shore.       • Operation Details Date/Time:  Fri, 25/05/2012 - 08:00 - Wed, 27/06/2012 - 16:00 Operation Type:  Other People Assisted:  0 Total Volunteer Hours:  4800 TPR and vrew assisted Greater Wellington Regional Council with replacing the navigation markers in Onepoto Harbour. TPR towed the dredge to each marker, held in place until the dredge secured itself in place then waited for the marker to be replacved and move onto the next one.
