Tranz Metro in Wellington have developed an event and partnership with The Salvation Army to support the Army’s caring work in the Wellington region for the Christmas/New Year period by collecting food for our food banks.
The idea involves a special 4 coach English Electric service that will operate on Saturday 28th November which will call at every station in the electrified network to collect donations of non perishable food.
Capital city band Wellington Heads will be playing their blend of original jump blues and swing, 40s / 50s rhythm & blues styles and including Hawaiian sounds, Caribbean beats, and funky New Orleans grooves.
