The Steampunk Minstrels

Steampunk Minstrels formed in Auckland with two other musicians, but Marius and Mairi-Anne moved to Wellington in 2018 and have played various open mic evenings in Newtown and Plimmerton and were also the featured artists at Acoustic Roots’ Roseneath evening and Songwriters 6021 at Moon with Charles Harter on violin and percussion.

Welcome to the Roseneath Centennial Ragtime Band! “Playin’ pretty for the people”, we kick out the jams from stompin’ New O’leans style ragtime, funeral marches and gospel shouts to second line grooves and street beats! Strongly influenced by the music of legendary New Orleans musicians, Louis Armstrong, the Preservation Hall Jazz band and the second line tradition, we serve up our own version of gumbo soup and corn bread, Roseneath style! Come see us and get your boogie on!!

About The Deadlines
