A Tough Day at McEvedy

- Tuesday 2 March 2010: It was a hard day for Stream at the McEvedy Shield today. With strong teams from all four schools it was always going to be tough. A few early highlights were: Fletcher Greaves winning the Under-14 100m and Aviata Silago throwing 44 metres to win the Open Discus.

Valley Touch Tournament

- Wednesday 11 November 2009: Stream's Junior Touch Rugby team had an excellent day at the Hutt Valley Tournament. The team lost only one game all day, to the eventual winners, Taita College. During round-robin, they scored 32 points with only 10 against. Playing off for third-fourth, Stream won 4-3 in a nail-biting final against Aotea College.

Convent Old Girls celebrate 75 years on the court

- Convent Old Girls Netball Club the oldest club still in existence in the Hutt Valley recently celebrated its 75th Jubilee at the Angus Inn in Lower Hutt with more than 100 past and present players and friends.

Senior House Rugby Kicks Off

- Monday 14 September 2009: The Senior House Rugby Competition kicked offtoday with matches between Marist and Chanel, and Patrick and Trinity. Open running games produced entertaining rugby with Chanel and Patrick winners in the first round. The competition continues all week. A sausage sizzle was held by Young Vinnies as a fundraiser for their 2010 Mission to Samoa.

Under 65B Team win Grade Final

- Saturday 29 August 2009: The true Stream spirit and pride were on show as the Under-65B Rugby team won 8-7 against the HIBS Under-65A Team in the Under-65 Grade Final. That special Stream character was needed as the team held out HIBs for 15 minutes while down to 12 players and then held a 1-point lead for the last 30 minutes of the game.

First XI Takes 2009 Title

- Saturday 22 August 2009: The First XV capped a fine season by taking the Wellington Division 1 title, beating Scots College 3-1 in the Final. Hamish Watson scored all three goals - his second hat-trick of the season. The team also won five of the six Traditionals this year including a first ever win over Palmerston North Boys' High School.

Homeless World Cup at Human Rights Film Festival

- The Human Rights Film Festival premieres next Thursday (May 7th) with the film Kicking It – a ball can change your life. The film follows the progress of seven Homeless Football World Cup players as they confront the daily challenges of life on the streets, battle drug and alcohol addiction, and fight for the right to be recognised as human beings.

Get training for the Homeless World Cup

- Recruiting has begun to train and select players for the Street Football Aotearoa team to compete at the Homeless World Cup in Melbourne in December. Local practices kick off weekly from the 16th of April at Waitangi Park. All players need to have had experience of homelessness or currently be homeless to qualify.
