Surf’s Up Too
- 12 Nov 2009
- Eye of the Fish
- People power rules. Or so it seems today - if the paper is right, then the Maranui may be about to be saved. We discussed the 5th Scenario here, with some reasonably heated dialogue, but it sounds as though a sensible agreement has been reached.

West Hollywood lounge experience

- ‘Speaking of which, I went to that new "Public" bar last night (ex Sport bar) and it was all you imply, but loud too. What's that you say? No, sorry, totally deaf now. The walls were vibrating, that's how loud it was.’
- ‘"West Hollywood Lounge Bar" means to me that there has to be one certain ingredient, that is lacking from the current Hog experience. I'm talking, of course, about the arrival by limo. West Hollywood is all about the pavement, the arrival at it by blac’
- ‘ The weird thing about Slade, they were originally skinheads, but back when skinheadism was a youth fashion and hadn't been co-opted by racist hooligans.’
